My 15 (ok, 3) Minutes!
Updated: Nov 30, 2019
I’m a freaking lucky girl. I’m lucky enough to work for a company that gives me new, unique opportunities all of the time. I’ve volunteered for Make A Wish countless times, I’ve been able to organize record breaking companywide donations and been the one calling them into the radio-thon. I’ve done Segway tours of Milwaukee’s lakefront, I’ve dressed up in gowns for a themed tea party, I’ve debuted as a hand model. I’ve travelled to Denver, Omaha, and Atlanta…I’m a freaking lucky girl.
This morning, I found myself driving to TMJ-4 to be a guest on The Morning Blend. They wanted to hear my story. What?! To me, it’s what I do every day - nothing out of the ordinary. I’m thankful for the opportunity to hear my story the way other people do. It IS really cool that I took a typical retail job and ended up learning a trade. It IS awesome that I work for a company that’s willing to work with me to make sure I have a home here. This IS a story to tell.
I’m a goldsmith at Kessler’s Diamonds, I started in the office and have worked incredibly hard to get myself on the bench, sizing, soldering, and engraving finished goods. On top of it all, we’re 100% employee owned. If you want to hear a little more about my journey and this kickass company, tap the link below!
I do have to give a special shout out to Richard Kessler for taking the morning to wait in the wings as my moral support! You can roll your eyes at me all you want, this stuff is nerve racking! Also a great big thank you to my coworkers, Meg for making my B roll fabulous, and Kate and Gowla for getting my behind the scenes footage!
