One Year Later
Updated: Nov 30, 2019
A year has passed since my launch of Get it! Got it! Go! 365 days and a full trip around the sun have brought so many people and experiences to my life. I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunities that have come into my life, and the fact that you're all following me along the way!
I thought I'd take a trip down memory lane - or rather, Maple Road - to commemorate my anniversary. This little stretch of hill is special to my blog. I distinctly remember driving down this hill drenched in the glow of a sunrise when the idea for Get it! Got it! Go! struck me. Within three days, I had purchased my domain and started designing. I'm often a pretty impulsive person, but that's because I listen to my gut. I took this impulse and turned it into what you see today. It felt right to go back to my site's conception site, drenched in the glow of a sunrise.
In the past year I've been lucky enough to travel to Colorado, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. I've moved to a different city and have fallen in love with Wisconsin's wild side. I've collaborated with incredible companies like Badger Liquor, Relics Vintage Rentals, The Pink Peony, The Iron Horse Hotel, Palm and Peak, Ink Lash & Brow, Drybar, SS Couture, MoonBabe Fashion, Aesthetics 360, and Health Hydration Oasis. I've had the pleasure of working with wildly talented photographers like Colleen Kubiak, Brian Mattinson, Rachel Aberle, Emily Warpinski, Abel Mendoza, Michael Tucker, and Parker Davis.
I've watched a fleet of hot air balloons take off at sunrise. I've soaked in vapor caves. I made my dream of walking the runway come true - twice! I made a TV appearance - twice! Bill freaking Murray gave me his shrimp cocktail. I've made friends, seen some of my favorite bands and performers live, consumed countless bottles of prosecco, gone new places, and tried new things. It's been a year. Here's to all of you for following along and helping make it happen!
Get it! Got it! Go!
